Tony smith
If the weather is ok I want to go sharking this weekend. What's my chances of good weather 🤞🤞👍
GPSguru
Right now Friday is a possibility, it just needs the morning to improve. Up until this evening, Thurs, Fri, and Sat were looking OK, but since you have posted it has gone rapidly downhill 🙄
Saintly Fish
Agree with Ian. This weekend is looking very doubtful due to prevailing southwest winds up to 30mph. Friday is at the moment northerly winds which is good for our area. But the wind is even picking up on that day too. If I were you I’d wait until Thursday evening before making a decision. 1
Andy135
Still too early in the season for sharks round here I believe. July/August is the prime time. 1

You get sharks in and around Oxford eh? Is that on the thames or cherwell and isis too? 🤣
Andy135
Isis is the alternative name for the upper parts of the Thames. The Cherwell is a different river entirely. Fished both of them extensively in my childhood and I can confirm that sadly there are no sharks in either river... not that it stopped us from trying to catch them 🤣
Tony smith
I will wait until we get a good weekend Won't be long now surely I think June / August is better for them because we only fish for them then. I have been told Porbeagles come in shallower waters to have their pups this time of the year so it's worth a try. Catching Porgies In Cornwall this week 👍 Can't wait to get out there. If we can get out this weekend I will go for the Tope again 👍👍 Thanks for all your comments 😁
Odyssey
Porgies will be heading offshore now as finished pupping. Pwrsonally I’d give it a few weeks for the mackeral/pollack to arrive in more numbers as the sharks will follow the food...
