Because when I went to book with them they told me the prime time is end august beginning September. That’s why we booked up for august 2022! Sorry, just re read my reply and it’s a bit negative, wasn’t supposed to be. Truly hope you get on the meat!
Tony smith
Apparently, the mackerel are late this year. The Tuna stay here until November mate Last year we were getting sighting up till November. They have loads of days in October they want to fill. It not guaranteed any month but you got to be positive mate. 26th September come on you tuna 😁😁🎣🎣👍

Saintly Fish
Personally I’d rather take the advice of the skipper, who told me not to bother after second week in September. I hope the mackerel thing is a good omen for you. 🙏🏻
Tony smith
Can't see it being a cut off point half way though September and the Tuna all go. it's got to be a gradual thing. We were catching mackerel 6 at a time in the Dartmouth fishing festival and that's in October. So surely if the bait fish are around the predators won't be far behind. We will have to wait and see. He will let us know nearer the time what's worth targeting sharks, Tuna, Dogfish. We are hoping to get something nice as it's quite expensive. 😀😬🤣🎣🦈👍

Do you have 4 going? If so it’s not as bad, £100 per day each.

The Tuna stick around until at least mid January, however, we normally start seeing them in late May and this year I haven't seen any yet ! On a brighter note, we have seen huge numbers of threshers, which is very unusual. I haven't been out for 4 weeks, but hopefully going out on Friday morning now that the consultant has sorted out my colitis, but the down side is that I have a huge list of things that I cant eat 🙄. Who knows, you could very well bag up 👍

Odyssey
Tuna hang around until November with us. September is best month by far as water at its warmest…. Nice to know more threshers about, more porgies with us this year, hopefully Tuna will arrive in a few weeks… get the heavy rods out… A thresher be nice another time add to my 100lb+ on the boat… that, Tuna and mako all on wish list! Skate will need a bit of travel! Maybe try for a 6 Gill one day off Celtic deeps 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Tony smith
GPS guru Hi mate I am hopefully going out Sunday Will try for the Thresher again. Going to anchor up this time. As we get older we all get thing wrong. Keep up with sensible eating. I also have a hip replacement that's giving me some problems. I walk like a drunk on the boat ha ha

I walk like a drunk on the boat ha ha Don’t anchor up. You need to drift to cover more ground… Just remember you’re up against a quarry that some chase all season and don’t get a run…. If you’re anchored, you got to fight against the tide as well as the fish abd you got an anchor rope to tangle
Tony smith
The drift is going the right way so I will go on the drift again 👍 Thanks Odyssey 👍👍
