That's probably because it's dull and we have a life, that doesn't involve sitting at a desk with protractor and compass?? 👨🏼‍🏫

So what you gonna do if your plotters fail then? Chop, chop!

Hmmm,

I think my chances of both plotters failing, and 2 mobile phones failing, is pretty remote !

Many of us can still plot on paper charts, and done properly an EP it is surprisingly accurate when compared to a GPSP.

However, how many on here actually carry paper charts ?, I dont even carry a tide atlas anymore.

I can plot on paper… however I have 3 plotter, 3 GPS sources. If I lose 12V supply as I stop and my engines won’t work…

It comes to something when the navy don’t carry paper charts but the RYA still insist you do…

Don’t get me started on tidal height calculations for secondary ports

Sooooo, what about these tidal heights then for secondary ports?? Don't suppose you know what the tide will be at 2.32pm at Burnham Staithe tomorrow per chance? 🤣

Approx 0.5m @2:30pm

Looking at the UK Hydrographic Office prediction, the Data for the nearest tide station is too sparse at low tide, therefore a tidal curve cannot be accurately calculated, however the next tidal station gives enough curve information to predict 0.4m to 0.55m at your requested time and place. Even a tidal atlas is not going to help you with that one. 🙄

Andy does love to try and drag us up from the gutter. You'd think he would give up already.

Ok then, how about having a go just for fun? Surprised you haven't come up with the answers already Ian 👍
