Popular Post mike farrants Posted November 15, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 15, 2024 Was back down Chesil cove on Monday evening after work for an hour or 2 - wind was tricky as it was cross shore - makes casting light jigs a bit harder - I put on the trusty DTD weak fish jig and cast out - 2nd cast i'm in - smallish squid. I had a number of takes that were dropped - but they felt more like cuttle (dead weight) and they tend to let go at the surface - swapped a few jigs around and had no luck - so put a green DTD jig on and last cast again delivered the goods - a big take form a big squid and my new PB shore caught squid at 31cm! happy days! I also went down last night - but didn't hook up - not even a take - and i used 5 different jigs! looked perfect conditions - light wind, full moon, clear skies, but was a dropping tide - either they have moved offshore, or I was unlucky. daio web, Saintly Fish, Malc and 2 others 5 Quote
