Popular Post suzook12 Posted November 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 18, 2024 Arrived quayside for the HighFlyer2, nearly needing a step ladder up to the boat the tide was that high. With a SW wind and a racing tide, it was surprisingly calm on the way out with tide against wind. We anchored on "the mud" and rod tips were on the go instantly. Lots and lots of whiting not far short of limit size and a few bigger, and some of the worlds smallest doggies. The tide turned within the 1st hour and was really flat then despite a strong wind. We held that mark for about the first hour and a half of the tide before it became too strong. At that point we up anchored and moved further inshore. This started slowly before the competition became how many times could you send the same worm out and still catch!! It was an active day, the rain held off until we docked again, and we had 3 novices on the back and they all caught fish too, with easily 50 fish to each angler. OK so not anything spectacular, but the banter was good, the tea was flowing and the cuppa soups. Started getting a bit cold at the end but good day out all in all which is what it's all about 👍 Oh, and one thorny boated too.... mike farrants, Dicky, daio web and 2 others 5 Quote
