Give him a bell then Ian!
As you know we are not allowed on to WSF to tap him up.

We used to Charter Tiger Lilly with Chris Caines (RIP) there was one wreck in the deeps he favoured for Ling along with the usual wreck species.  There is an area just north of Alderney which is a hot spot for large tope and lots of them however, the last few years has seen less of them there.  Neil would know roughly where this is as he went with a skipper who loved to catch Tope.

This area is close to the casquets not and easy place to anchor in the tide race over fairly large rocks been on a charter several times and it needs to be more or less pinpoint where you drop anchor

Fished the hurds once was manic think we had 97 pollack in an hour average size 7-10lb all on live sandeels

The last couple of times we went the bass and flatfish were very hard to find but bream fishing and pollack was out of this world , you  just have to mix it up a bit and know what to fish for at what state of tide

But as someone said it’s not all about the fishing it’s a chance for the lads to get away and have a craic

If you like bream try and catch the couches bream like normal bream but on steroids @Piscator was lucky enough to catch one on our trip
