Popular Post Malc Posted December 5, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2024 Just had my CO go off and I found the batteries had corroded, we bought it at the same time as the smoke detector and so I checked that too and it was corroded! Both were with replaceable batteries that should be replaced annually, they should also be tested by pushing the button to check the alarm works periodically but I hadn't done that! If you haven't checked your detectors or tested them, please do so now. If you haven't got one or both, get one, if you can't afford one you may find your local fire station can give you one FOC. You can also get a free home fire safety visit too if you want. daio web, captin slows old outlaw, Maverick and 3 others 3 2 1 Quote

Malc Posted December 6, 2024 Author Posted December 6, 2024 Yes because of the battery, it wouldn't silence until I removed the battery and I got a new one within the hour and we've had both the log burner and CH on since and no alarm. Saintly Fish 1 Quote
