Popular Post Josh Posted December 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 26, 2024 Hope everyone’s is having a good Christmas, what a weather front we are having for this time of year. I usually bring the boat home for maintenance this time of year so first spontaneous idea presented to the wife was to head down Cornwall. after Xmas for 2/3 days especially coinciding with off work and the forecast. Well that proved very difficult with last minute booking accommodation as we have two dogs and 1 infant now amazing how many facilities are 1 pet or no children . Ect . So plan B was to leave the family at home, collect the boat and to make something of the journey efforts at least go out for half a day get back then spend the rest of the weekend with family. Christmas dinner and the evening was over, I braved the empty roads solo, the fog was thick all the way there. which was a little unnerving as it seems to get thicker in Cornwall. arrival silly o’clock and boat launched back in the car with heater on to shut eyes for a couple hours, fuel up and see what’s about. There was no heavy rods out today just a grab what’s there session so I headed off shore in search of some winter pollack and just as I begin the drift I look over my shoulder and one , two oh three yep buoys nets all over it 👌 I managed one fish there he was a bit battered probably escaped the net moved On to another mark and found a few decent ones not monsters but very grateful considering the first spot is a banker spot ! Looe harbour lit up the long slog home and it was hard work on 2 hrs sleep but safe and sound now. Josh JDP, mick, GPSguru and 2 others 5 Quote
