Popular Post Malc
Went for a walk after breakfast to see whether anyone was fishing. Two guys were on the opposite bank and I saw the guy by the bridge hook and land a small bleak like fish which was quickly returned. Tactics seemed to be throw in a half slice of white that was wet and mushed up in water then lobbed in to break up then a waggler (I think) and a sizeable chunk of bread on the hook. Bites were constant and the float was under more than on the surface but he didn't strike much. I went 100m further down and there was one guy spinning. 20 minutes later and I was getting close to the bridge and the guy is into a decent fish. Looks like a mullet of a pound or two which also was returned. Not bad in 20'C and parakeets flying past... Andy135
Nice. Always good to see how they dangle elsewhere. Any chance of you wetting a line yourself instead of cashing in on other people's catches? 😜🤣
Malc
Nah, this is an RnR holiday. Mucho lounging and mucho bebida y comida! Andy135
Malc
Bit of a lump on the Med this evening, plenty of chuck n chance out there but just a few left at 22-30. Some of the waves were big enough to push some fresh salt water into the river, I wonder if that has an affect on the river anglers? jetty jumper and Andy135
Andy135
Fair play to them for trying. The recieved wisdom seems to be that there's precious little left worth catching in the Med these days due to overfishing. Any idea what they were after? Malc
I asked but not sure, bream types I think I also watched a guy reel in, possibly after a bite, he just gave a couple of turns then stopped, much like if you were scratching for flatties. Most rigs were flappers or running ledger and there must be a reef offshore as the boats were always in an area about a mile off.

That’s the spot I would fish on the outgoing tide. 👍 Andy135
