Electric heaters

Hi all,

Does anyone use an electric heater and timer switch connected to mains to keep condensation down in boats? 
 

I will get a fan heater to warm boat up and for winter overnights as I nearly froze on Weds...

Other ideas welcomed 🙂

I use a tube heater on a thermostat in the engine bay. And in the saloon a dehumidifier , these give off some warm, just enough to keep above freezing temp in the real cold. I leave all doors and cupboards open to allow air circulation.
