Kinell, I was going to get one done for insurance value, as Porthcawl (like most insurers) will only insure the boat for what you paid for it, not it's current value

That was a fully comp survey though. A valuation survey won't be that much, mine was a pre purchase. 
BTW, GJW who I use for insurance agreed to up my boats value by 8% without a survey.!

They don't have much liability at all if they write it into their contract. Most will have a disclaimer or tu. 
But yew do yore research b4 yew employ them.

It’ll be an MCA coding survey so Inwas thinking it’s about £25-30 a foot… which is probably about right on what you have suggested….

at least I’d get a valuation at the same time I suppose 😬😬😬
