Anti foul on bronze props?

Has anyone ever used any of the various products available? If so what one and did it actually work?

Loads of Freds on YBW about this. The consensus seems to be that regular use is the most effective anti foul for props.
Prop speed (?) is one of the main systems, but apparently not cheap, and we all know how tight you are!

Sorry typo

That nothing is 100%. Propspeed seems to have differing results in differing areas. A friend of mine applied it to his prop this winter, so when I catch up with him next I'll ask if it was worth it. I put nothing on my prop, just jump in at the hight of summer and give it a little scrub, there is never anything that built up that causes me to loose speed.

I was looking at this stuff,

https://www.tcschandlery.co.uk/hempel-silic-one-propeller-antifoul-kit-750ml/p13705
I don’t know if it’s any good. I can’t find any decent reviews either way but the box looks nice and glossy so it’s got to be good right?
I’ve never treated my stern gear before but it seems a shame to have gone to all the effort of doing the rest not to treat it somehow.

Ok thanks.
I got as far as the guy from my village (St Lawrence Seaway) who used it and was very happy with it. I don’t know the guy but I assume he’s at our sailing club. I’ll have to hunt him down.
This is the true definition of internet research- look at reviews until you find one you like then go with that. 🤣

It makes sense to go with a review from somebody in your area as different bodies of water seem to churn up differing results for the same products!

It seems that as with many things prep is key, watching their application video shows they key it up with very coarse paper which seems very harsh. Maybe people who don’t get good results just didn’t follow the instructions.
