mick Posted June 6, 2023 Share Posted June 6, 2023 Hi all, going to try slow pitch jigging fo the first time, using braid and want to know if I need to use a short mono leader. or do I use braid straight through using 17kilogram on a multi. I use a short FC leader of about 2ft, maybe 3ft max, to avoid abrasion. join the leader to the braid with a PR knot, or an FG knot, then tie a solid ring on the end of the leader so you can attach the jig using the split ring. As GPSguru says, PR or FG, though these will take a little practice but there are numerous YouTube vids showing how.
