Or if a ladder really isn't possible, how about folding step brackets. Two or three of these should be enough to bring someone aboard.

Also remember that if all else fails you can step on the cavitation plate of your outboard and use the trim/tilt switch to lift you up out of the water enough to scramble into the splashwell. But this really is a last resort and shouldn't be used instead of a boarding ladder

I used to keep one of these in my middle underfloor compartment on top of my fuel cans.

fokds that so easy to store. Just put It mid ships at anchor to get in/out 🙂
