At 12.2 v you  may well have a week cell. Does the engine try to turn over or crank freely, but fails to start. My car really needs a new battery - if I leave it a week I have jump start - if starting every day, no problems. If the engine only turns over very slowly, the most likely cause is battery or bad battery/earth connections if the battery is good. Geoff.

Before you put your new battery on check the voltage being put out by your alternator, if it’s low you will kill the new battery as well.

Thanks
