Andy135
Got to be. If governments are serious about phasing out fossil fuels for vehicles then eventually it'll be either electric or hydrogen for pleasure craft to choose from, and as electric doesn't have (and probably never will have) the range required for serious offshore recreational craft, then hydrogen becomes the only viable alternative in my opinion. JDP
What about oil from plants, its already widely being used. Also algae will play a big part in the future.
Andy135
The challenge with both of those is that they emit CO2 whereas hydrogen only emits water. Governments aren't abandoning fossil fuels for fun. It's all about emissions which contribute to global warming. The easy target is to eliminate vehicle emissions... irrespective of whether the lifetime emissions of an electric or hydrogen vehicle really stack up given that the majority of their emissions will be in their manufacture and energy generation for refueling.
