Masonry paint vs Gel Coat

Bought a cheap bench as have none to park ass. 
 

It’s covered in masonry paint and silicone. Will do me for a while till I glass in some boxes/swivels seats

Ive spent enough money lately so used what I had around the house

mister muscle - no

steam iron - no 

hair dryer/knife blade/sharp scraper - not bad 

boiling water and pan scourer - yes 

if your boat ever gets mistaken for a house and someone masonry paints your hull, hot water is your friend.

Good scrubbing. Looks like it came out nicely. Why would anyone want to use masonry paint on GRP in the first place? The mind boggles.

Yeah, I wondered about the textured finish, but as you say, it could well have been left over from repainting.
