Chinook 3 is a fairly recently built Bullet 38, running twin ivecos operated by Phil White. Phil was a protege of John Rawle a very well respected Thames skipper who trained him in a similar way to that of Pai Mae. We had a run up to clacton to the obvious area to fish the outgoing tide, a few codling and some Thornbacks came over the rail. I took one for the team today and focused all my efforts on fending the whiting and dogs off of everyone else’s lines, leaving them to catch the codling. Not the best day ever but nice to be out there even in the rain. I mentioned to Phil that we should have towed the boat to Cornwall but he just looked at me.☹️I don’t think he was keen. Unfortunately its the same person once again, who should be setting an example to us less fishing forum literate. Clearly this section mentions caught a whopper, yet this is constantly flouted by one particular persons catch.
