Fanks but none of those are any good. I did say "covered" switches. As in they need a flip up safety cover so that people's arses can accidentally turn the switches on if they lean against them. You know the position of my deck light and deck wash switches.

Not sure they make arse-proof switches?

Actually, for outside the boat, those carling switches are bang on as actually IP66/68 rated, others are merely splashproof.

It would be easy to find a lid that could flip over them to protect them against leaners.

RS sell the carling ones, I dare say they could provide a cover as well if you spoke to them.

Oddly, even blue sea  covered switches are only water resistant.

Slight adaption, how about this

I like the thinking, but that will look ugly as hell.

Waterproof Push Button Switch, SPST, Latching - Multicomp | CPC (farnell.com)

What about this sort of thing, don't know if it's arse proof though

Thanks Nick, I have seen these and tbh this is looking like the way I'll go. What I really wanted was a water proof switch with a big pull up protective flap (like a nuke button). But they don't seem to be available waterproof.

They look a bit like self destruct buttons. I like it.
