hi mike daio here mate have you got a load of ballast in your colvic  i am trying to fine out if i would be better of with out it   mine i would has a guess  its about 800 kilos whats your opinion on it mate many thanks daio

morning mate it might even be more than that this saturday  i am going to remove it all and the see what she sits like and take it for a little run with the gps set up to see if there is any difference in speed aswell  it does seam to use a fair bit of fuel  roll on saturday ..

I remember the boat we used to go out on (Ellen B), an ex RNLI boat, carried over 4 tonne of ballast. When coding renewals were due, they made the skipper remove it all. Was never the same after that. Originally, the rougher it got, the more stable the boat got......
