Ivan Tuna Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 I was looking to fit some individual rod holders to the rails - what do you guys recommend? Thanks, Ivan Quote
Saintly Fish Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 I’ve fitted 4 of these on my wheel house roof grab rails. From China but have proved good quality. eBay 254787790252 GPSguru 1 Quote
Andy135 Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 I've used these ones on Apache - I prefer these to the straight tubular version as these ones have a thin rod at the base of the holder to fit into a butt gimbal - means the rod is held whichever way you place it e.g. keeps the reel upright. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B083QHBVCM/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B083QHBVCM&pd_rd_w=9Thu4&pf_rd_p=63c922c2-0d1e-424b-861c-70cf96420fed&pd_rd_wg=OZLEW&pf_rd_r=69F1CP3SCVQXXY7FJTYQ&pd_rd_r=0d2aa56a-1bd5-4230-9e9e-cdd1e783883f&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFLTjdYTURKRU41UkwmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAzOTk2NTY1RkxQVklZSlFSOUgmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDgyODQwNzNUWVFFTFBPU0g0RU4md2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWwmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl GPSguru 1 Quote

No - as part of the fishing kit there’s a stainless steel bar to pull a bait net over - it drops into 2 holes on the rails. Had no intention of using it but the Railblaza bait table and two rod holders later it looks a proper designed portable bit of kit Quote
Ivan Tuna Posted September 12, 2021 Author Posted September 12, 2021 So the pins on the end drop into 2 holes on my side rails. Andy135 and mick 2 Quote
Captain Sensible Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 (edited) Noticed these worn fittings - look like poor mans Railblaza sockets - Emailed Railblaza they say nono you poor fool we don’t know it they is but if you measure we will sell you sumfing the same size ish so you don’t make more holes. https://imgur.com/a/30QXRou Does that link work? Trying to make the world a better place why would have rod holders so far back on the boat - anyone familiar with worn out holes care to comment? Edit: the surface mount fitting in the pictures is next to the high end 1” 1/2 rod holders Edited November 14, 2021 by Captain Sensible Quote

Andy135 Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Link works but if you tap & hold on the images in Imgur in your phone, then select the option to Copy the image, you can then paste the link into your post and it'll embed the images themselves, rather than showing the link. Or from a computer, right click the image and select Copy Link Address, then paste the link into your post and the image will appear instead of the link. Quote
captin slows old outlaw Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 i prefer to hold my rod ., just like the feel of bite Quote

Captain Sensible Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 16 minutes ago, Captain Sensible said: oohlaalaa Suppose I was of adding handrails, then where to put rods out of the way, then bait table would be nice on a bar across the back of the boat. what is this witchcraft Quote
Andy135 Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 If you're adding a bar across the transom then you may as well just add a bolt-on rod holder either side of the bait table. Captain Sensible 1 Quote
