Popular Post JonC Posted April 18, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted April 18, 2021 A rare away fixture for me today, I don’t get invited on other boats for some strange reason 🥺 except once last autumn but that’s another story that I don’t like to talk about because it still upsets me. Anyway that’s enough of my private hell. So today we were out on @KennyPowers’s newly acquired boat Maggie May, an Arvor 210 out of Bridgemarsh marina on the river Crouch. Cutting the crap we fished the last couple of hours of the tide down catching smoothounds and thornback ray(raja clavita for Neil) then once the tide turned we were over run with dogs and whiting, the thornbacks (raja clavita for Neil) still coming but the hounds dropped off. I could not bring myself to weigh a baby leopard shark, but there were some big ones today. I am aware that the scales I use would not be suitable to some people though.
