Yes, if only I could head back😩 Every time I've looked at flights and hire cars etc, I realise how many big trips away here I can do with the trailer boat. There are some decent Plaice being caught at the moment. I have decided that even on the school run days, I am still going to the skerries, but leaving polly steps at first light, to get back in time and to get some decent fishing time in. It is only a 40 - 45 min steam. I am planning on going there sometime this year but not just for plaice.... I'd like to make a weekend of it and target some other species as well, in the summer. It might only be 40 mins in your rocket but a fair bit longer in mine, esp. if there's any kind of lumpier conditions. That's one of the things that puts me off (plus the cost).
