Popular Post JonC
@KennyPowers today and myself on his boat. We made the journey of about 25 miles out to the SW sunk in the middle of the estuary, which had been fishing well until now. I had a hook up after about 5 minutes which was a spotty dog, which marked the decline of the day’s fishing. We managed about 10 bass, 5 or 6 sizeable but only 3 worth keeping also a few hounds to about 5lb over the rail. Generally it really was hard work. To put it into perspective this resting Thrush managed to spend about 45 minutes on Mick’s rod resting, while on its migration course Also had this little fellow making himself at home, a Chaffinch maybe? He seemed fairly oblivious to us, having a good look around the deck area. Low water was about 1330, but because of the pissy little tide it took 2 hours for the boat to turn around properly, which pretty much ran the clock out ready for the slog home. Speaking to people on other boats including a couple of the charter skippers it seemed that we had a better day than most so I guess we should be happy. mike farrants
Really small tides made it slow going down here too - but still a much better day afloat than at home!

Maverick
More like a nature program than a fishing report you'll be giving Chris Packham a run for his money soon. All in jest. Its always nice to read reports about anything to do with fishing and boating, well done daio web, Saintly Fish and Geoff 2
