It dosnt hav a rev gauge as they didnt do them on a 25hp johnson as a garage told me so i dont no im afraid i hav been asked be for

If it helps... I had an Orkney Coastliner with a Honda 20hp on it. Smaller engine and smaller boat. Best I ever had was 12kts.

I'm sort of agreeing with Jon, 14kts with a 25hp isn't too bad for a semi-D hull like yours.

My friend has the same boat and he can get 19 with a 25hp yamaha

When i spoke to orkney and they say i should get at lest 18 to 20 with the 25hp on her

In which case it would be worth fitting an aftermarket rev counter just so you can work out what revs you're getting and then work out whether a re-prop is the way to go.

Iv run a 11 pitch and got 10 knots and now im running 13 and getting 14knots
