Having read that, my only concern would be if they saw that unfold from a Km away, why didn't they bouy the anchor off and run for it?

All the same the court result was right, just very sad 3 people had to die needlessly. But I am also sure there is a message there for small boaters maybe?

I'm inclined to agree Steve. I have no idea how experienced or not the victims were at small boating, but ultimately they (we) must also take responsibility for their (our) own safety too.

Yup, that's my take on it, being in the right is no consolation if it results in being dead

it is very sad that this happened and 3 lost lives but as previously stated "why didn't they bouy off the anchor" especially as they had 1km of vision.

whilst the correct result of the prosecution it should have been avoided .

please people be more aware of what is going on around you
