Popular Post JonC Posted July 3, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted July 3, 2023 I had a long standing booking on Saturday with an old friend who now lives in the Philipines so we had to go out regardless of conditions. Even getting out of my berth was tricky with it being high water and getting the wind from across the river blowing me back across the aisle before I could spin the nose around. We hid behind Osea island in the river catching countless school bass all well undersized. I had a small stingray though so that made it worth while.He was an angry little fella who was whipping his tail all over the place. My mate was happy to get out anyway so that’s the main fing. Im not to keen dealing with them after a small one like that put its sting through a centre of my hand while diving, the most painful thing ever and Ive had a fair amount of broken bones over the years. I was impressed with the tenacity of the thing, when I hooked into it I was thinking smooth hound or bass because it was throwing shapes all over the place. My boy is too busy these days, always playing cricket or rugby in winter and he has had a girlfriend for about 8 months now so that’s his lot done.
