Andy135
Looks like a good boat, and even better for £104! Do as Neil suggests and see what eBay will do for you. Saintly Fish
Saintly Fish
It does look like the seller ended the auction before time ran out. "Winning bid" just means that you were the current high bidder. You only win if the clock ticks down 100%.

I've always been told bid removed or the whole thing just vanishes...... Deffo worth a shout with ebay tho, if it did run til end it's legally binding

Odyssey
If it’s sea worthy let me know and can have a look as Bridgend is not far away 🙂 As it stands report him to eBay, it’s a bargain and it’s his fault for listing work no reserve…. suzook12
Guess we never saw that one coming, Pete on a new boat mission!! Keep us posted Pete, you should have a real bargain there
suzook12
Make sure you pay as well..... Otherwise they could raise a non payment against you
Andy135
I think you should see this through Pete. You stand to gain a nice boat, and if it needs lots of work you'd be able to move it on for a profit without even touching it. The search for report a seller. there is a step by step guide. Make a note of the item number to put in your complaint along with the seller details. Also if required send the screen shot of the ended item page! And please (don't take this the wrong way) make sure you do a spell check before sending. The more official you are the more they are likely to listen. Dont over do it, but be direct and straight to the point. There is also the facility to get them to call you about a complaint! captin slows old outlaw

Johnny, your missing the point here. An eBay auction is a legally binding contract. If Pete wins the auction (which it appears he did) then the seller is obliged to follow through with the sale. Ok, will Pete get a £10k boat for £100, probably not no. But it will atleast educate a numpty on the ways of his mistake. But, on the other hand.......🤷🏻♂️ captin slows old outlaw

captin slows old outlaw
yes yes i know but if i don't make a point of it anyone can take away what you win because the seller dose not like the price so if that was the case would you bother biding for any item. i don't wont the boat how wold i get it here where would i put it it is just the principal of it.it makes action a farce i have sold things by auction and not to happy about the price but i still sent the items suzook12 and Saintly Fish 1

The seller isn't ebay savvy? Hmmmmm as the seller is a business seller with around 1500 positive feedback I somehow doubt that..... Heres how it works at a normal auction: Winning bidder is asked to pay, if it transpires the winning bidder was a bid runner and does one, the 2nd highest bidder gets the option. If you're not happy about the amount of bids against the runner, the item will go through again. No matter what it sells for, it sells as long as it's above the sellers reserve. With ebay, the seller enters into an agreement with ebay as does the seller. This seller is in clear breach of those terms and conditions, and unless people do something about it, the practice will continue....... It's not as if we're talking about a mass produced item that can easily be bought somewhere else for similar price. It's the sellers fault. If they hadn't mentioned they were looking for £10k more people would have undoubtedly bid on it, probably expecting the item to be pulled 24 hours before end time (as IS allowed). I'm going to contact the guy with some cock n bull story and see what he comes up with.......
