Popular Post Dicky
Had a club comp last weekend, a species hunt with no minimum sizes just a picture required of each fish. Weather wasn’t ideal for travelling down channel to the clearer water so the 3 boats and 8 anglers all stayed local. We fished 6 different marks throughout the day and I managed 6 species which was enough to take 1st place. I had bass, Thornback, conger, tope, hound and dogfish and believe it or not I was the only one to land a doggie so that was the fish that won me the comp, I actually had 3 of them. Overall a reasonable day and good to get out again Edited September 4, 2022 by Dicky Andy135, GPSguru, jonnyswamp and 5 others 7
Saintly Fish
Top dangling and well done for your placing! 👍🏻 Looks like the temperature was various throughout the day 🤣. It was all going well until photo 4. thejollysinker and Dicky

Andy135
Yesss! I always knew the humble dogfish would be a winner one day! Well dangled. A good win 👍 And kudos for fessing up that a doggie won it for you - the rest of this lot will be spitting into their horlicks just thinking about it, but as I've always said, they're the best fish in the sea and always obliging when you need them most 😉 Dicky

jonnyswamp
Nice result mate, do you anchor the spit in the 2nd pic or drift ? Who'd have thought the humble Doggie would be so welcome (apart from @Andy135 obviously) Geoff

We don't tend to drift unless we go past Porlock into the clearer water. jonnyswamp
