Solent newbie

Hi guys

im Baz do most of my fishing at the top end of the Solent, for and decent fishing we go out with Kelley’s Hero in gosport. 
Love cooking and eating what I catch if it’s a reasonable size. 
saving for a for decent boat.

Welcome aboard Baz. Good luck with your boat search. Remember smaller trailed boats can have several advantage over boats that remain on pontoons/moorings. No marina charges, more opportunity to visit other waters, and can be parked at home if you have the room. Geoff.

What do you mean by the top end of the solent ? Would assume the mainland side beaches to be the top side (north side). Funny coming from the IOW I've not heard that term of top end before when fishing anywhere in the solent.

I’m up on the River Itchen, north or top end when I look at a chart. It’s not great fishing which is why I’m looking for a proper fishing boat, currently fishing from a dinghy or going out on day charters.
